Trina and Tim purchased their new home in 2002 before their kids came along but now 8 years later, 2 active youngsters necessitated a complete basement upgrade.

When Joel and Rachelle bought their house last year, one condition applied before they put in an offer. “My wife said if we buy that house, we had to change the kitchen and not some time in the future, but right away,” says Joel.
And so began a renovation that wa s under way roughly at the same time as the couple and their children moved in; into the basement that is, as the main floor was well into renovation mode.

Dan and Shelash had tackled a kitchen renovation a number of years ago, but felt the time was right to get more ambitious with the rest of their house.
Their 1000-square-foot house in Riverbend had served them well over the last 30 years. “But we just got to the point where we wanted some additional space,” says Dan. “In prior years, we invested our time and energies in our cottage. Now it was time to expand the house, so we decided to go with a family room addition and move around some walls to give us the extra living space we were after.”

Kris and Carrie wanted an open concept multi-purpose room downstairs that would match the style of the upper levels of their five year old home. Their list of ‘must-haves’ included a luxe bathroom that would incorporate a traditional sauna, a two-person walk-in shower complete with body sprays, heated flooring and marble top vanity. That was the list that was presented to Brian Arnold of Trikor Construction, the company that the couple chose to take on their 950 square foot renovation.
